Mastering Differential Equations: The Visual Method

I've watched most of the lessons (19 out of 24), and my opinion is that the professor does a great job of presenting the material with lots of visuals. Unfortunately, it appears that he is trying to cover two semesters of Diff Equs in 24 lectures. Like others, I thought that the course would line up nicely with a one-semester class, i.e. more time on linear DEs and linear systems, with lots of application examples. Over half of this course covers non-linear DEs, which would not be covered in most first semester DE courses, but rather in the Intermediate DEs course. And really, he's trying to cover two semesters of material in 20 lectures, because the last four lectures on chaos and fractals are extraneous material, only included because the professor finds them interesting. You won't need the last four lectures for most university courses.

Really interesting course with a range of varied subject matter and topics in differential equations, with a particular focus on more modern numerical computation methods for solving differential equations. I am finding this to be an excellent supplement to my second year university degree in mathematics. A note of prior warning however, a good grasp and knowledge of calculus is essential to be able to get anything out of this. Do calc 1 and 2 at least before watching this course.
